After their initially scheduled match last Wednesday was rained out, the Warrior golf team went back to Jenkins, KY, today to take on Letcher County Central in a 9-hole match at Raven Rock Golf Course. Paired into groups of four, all seven members of the Warrior golf team scattered across the course along with LCC as the Warriors looked to improve on their 10th place finish the day before in the Farmers and Miners Bank Invitational. They did so, beating their previous best 9-hole score by three strokes, shooting 187 overall. Senior Robbie Wilson led the way with a 41, and junior Davis Miller put out a 43. Jacob Hughes brought in a 50, with Aaron Lawson rounding out the top four scores with a 53. Using the top four scores for each team, it was determined that the Warriors defeated LCC 187-190. The Warriors golf team returns to action on Tuesday, August 23rd, for a 9-hole match at Lonesome Pine Country Club with Union.
