Warrior Recap: September 1, 2022 Wilson Earns Medalist in 9-Hole Match

The Central golf team continues to improve as the days go on! Today, they set out to Cedar Hill Country Club for a 9-hole match with Lee and Gate City. It was a gorgeous day, and Cedar Hill was in fantastic condition as the Warriors set out to try and knock down a couple of front runners in the Mountain 7 district golf race. The match began at around 4:00, and the Warriors got to work on the back nine holes. The Warriors as a team beat their best 9-hole score yet again, posting a 181 total score, topping Gate City, but falling short to district 2 seed Lee. After sitting out yesterday's district match due to illness, senior Robbie Wilson came out better than ever, posting his career-best 37 (+1) on the day, earning him first place along with Lee's Jacob Leonard. The Warriors got another outstanding from junior Aaron Lawson, who put together a 47(+11). Rounding out the top 4 scores were Chance Boggs with a 48(+12), and Davis Miller and Dalton Marshall put together a 49(+13). The Warrior golf team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 6th, for an 18-hole district match back at Cedar Hill Country Club at 9:30. #GoDubs
