Warrior Recap September 12, 2022 Golf Team Continues to Improve

The golf team keeps getting better. They set another team season-low score today in their final regular season district match of the season at Glenrochie Country Club in Abingdon. Abingdon got hit with a lot of rain overnight, and the course was very wet, making the conditions quite difficult for the Warriors. That did not phase the Warriors as they fired out a 354 total score, good enough for 4th place out of the Mountain 7 teams. Robbie Wilson led the way for the Warriors with an 81. Junior Davis Miller shot 88 to follow that up. Freshman Dalton Marshall pitched in a 92, and Junior Aaron Lawson shot 93 to round out the top four scores. The Warriors only trailed behind Union (345) by nine shots. Abingdon won the match and qualified for the Region 3D tournament with an astounding 295 total score. Lee (330) punched their ticket to the Region 2D tournament after a total cumulative score from all district matches this year. The Warriors will return to action tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13, for a 9-hole match at Lonesome Pine Country Club with John Battle and Union.
